August 15 the head of the Institute for Public Policy, a former political prisoner Bakhtiyar Hajiyev was detained and taken to the 27th police department of Yasamal district. In a telephone interview with the correspondent of Turan Hajiyev said that on August 14 his car was stopped and taken to the penalty area, and the police officer insulted an activist.
Today Hajiyev again faced the traffic police in front of the State Statistics Committee. When asking the question of Hajiyev on unjustifiable taking the car, police pounced on Hajiyev, punched, insulted him, and torn shirt. After that, Hajiyev called the 102 service of the Interior Ministry, and complained to the actions of the police.
