Bread and cigarettes went up in Baku stores
Baku/03.01.22/Turan: The price for "factory" bread in many grocery stores of Baku rose by AZN 0.02 and further rise in prices for this product is expected.
Sellers explain the rise in price by the increased flour cost.
If earlier the 50 kg sack of wheat flour used to cost 25 manats, then in the last days the prices for this product rose by 6-9 manats.
So far, the producers bake bread from the flour bought at the old prices, the prices haven't grown significantly yet. However, folowing the purchase of a new batch of flour they will have to raise prices significantly.
Cigarette packs have also gone up by 0.1 manat in the trading network.
It has to be noted that the flour prices rose despite the prolongation of the Cabinet of Ministers' resolution on September 16 on subsidies to producers of this product in order to reduce the negative impact of rising prices of imported products. -06В-
