Chief of Green House Hotel Arrested after Swimming Pool Tragedy
Baku / 12.07.17 / Turan: The Director of the Green House Hotel in the Ismayilli region, Elkhan Hasanov, was detained, the Prosecutor General"s Office said. The detention resulted from the death of two tourists who were electrocuted while swimming in the hotel pool.
The report noted that the death was caused by "the unscrupulous attitude of the hotel director to his duties and a gross violation of the rules for the use of electrical equipment, which led to the death of two and injuries to two more people."
A criminal case was brought against Hasanov under Article 314.2 of the Criminal Code (death as a result of negligence) and he was arrested.
Recall that the accident occurred on July 7, when Emil Adigozalov and Gulhusein Guliyev were killed, and Zaur Aliyev and Eltakin Omarov were injured. -05D-

A fire has erupted at the Experimental and Testing Production of the Scientific Research Institute of SOCAR (the state oil company) in the Surakhani district of Baku, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported. "Thanks to the urgent and necessary measures taken by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the spread of the fire to neighboring areas, including nearby residential buildings, has been prevented," the statement reads.
