Chief of Nizami Call Center Arrested
The chief of the Nizami call center of Baku Telephone Communications Fatullah Seyidov has been arrested. He is charged under Article 179.1 (misappropriation) of the Criminal Code. With regard to Seyidov a preventive measure of arrest for three months was chosen, according to sources in the prosecutor's office.
Earlier, Prosecutor General's Office reported the detection of corruption in the Ministry of Communications and assigning of 95 million mantas by the officials. On the facts of appropriation, abuse of authority and other violations of the law about 10 officials were arrested and even as many laid off, including the Minister of Communications. -16D-

As part of the struggle against illegal migration in Baku city, operative actions were carried out at different addresses. The Interior Ministry reports that employees of the Department for Combating Illegal Migration identified and detained 34 foreigners without documents giving the right to reside and stay on the territory of Azerbaijan.

During the operation of the Main Drug Control Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 5 members of an organized group engaged in drug trafficking were detained. All of them have previous convictions: Bahlul Ismayilov, Royal Aliyev, Khayal Aliyev, Samir Aghayev, and Ali Mammadli.
