Aslan Qurbanov
Condemned blogger was transferred to prison
Baku/29.12.21/Turan: On December 23, convicted blogger Aslan Gurbanov was transferred from colony No.10 to the Gobustan covered prison. This was reported to the Turan agency by his father Ahad Gurbanov.
According to his father, the Narimanov district court sentenced Aslan to two years of imprisonment. No one knows on what grounds the court made this decision.
it should be mentioned that Aslan Gurbanov was arrested by the State Security Service in 2020 and charged with anti-state appeals and ethnic hatred (clauses 281.2 and 283.1 of the Criminal Code). The court imprisoned him for 7 years.
According to his father, Aslan published appeals in defense of the Talysh people. "Some of his publications on social networks were emotional, however, he had always remained to his country," his father noted.
It turned out impossible to get a comment from the Penitentiary Service. -0-
