Consequences of an overnight downpour in the capital and in the regions
On the night of 22 June, intense downpours with hail continued in many regions of the country. Heavy precipitation caused mudslides and floods that damaged residential and commercial buildings. Tourist facilities in mountainous areas were also affected.
Heavy downpour in Baku also caused problems in the city centre, where the sewage system could not withstand the water pressure.
Streets on the outskirts of the city were also flooded.
