Court of Appeal does not release Seymour Hazy
Baku /28.10.19 / Turan: On October 28, the Baku Court of Appeal rejected the complaint of the well-known activist of the Popular Front Party, journalist Seymour Hazi. The activist asked to cancel the decision of the Khatai court for his administrative arrest.
The journalist was arrested for 15 days on October 17 on charges of petty hooliganism. Allegedly, he swore loudly on the street and ignored the demands of the police. He was among those activists whom the authorities neutralized on the eve of the rally on October 19.
Seymour Hazi was one of the most famous political prisoners in Azerbaijan. He was arrested in 2014 on charges of disorderly conduct and assault, and sentenced to 5 years. He was released in August of this year. -16D-
