On March 4 the Baku Court of Appeal dismissed the appeal from the youth activist Orkhan Eyubzadeh and upheld his conviction. The defense said the court's decision was unfounded and politically motivated and intended to lodge an appeal to the Supreme Court.
On October 15, 2014 the Binagadi district court of Baku sentenced the youth activist, 19-year-old Orkhan Eyubzadeh to 2 years in prison. He was found guilty of resisting police with violence. Eyubzadeh was arrested on May 6, 2014 during a protest against the sentence on the activists of NIDA. He was subjected to administrative detention for 20 days, but then he was accused of using violence against the police in jail. -16D06-
