Customs officer arrested for illegal car import clearance
Baku/29.08.23/Turan: Expert of the central customs expertise department of the State Customs Committee Aslan Bayramov has been arrested on charges of taking bribes for illegal registration of car imports.
According to a joint report by the Prosecutor General's Office and the Customs Committee, Bayramov was brought to criminal responsibility for forgery in the registration of documents for 45 cars from Georgia produced more than 10 years ago. For this he received 13,500 manats as bribes from individuals.
Bayramov was charged under Articles 308.2 (abuse of official powers resulting in serious consequences), 311.3.2 (repeated receipt of bribes), 311.3.3 (large-scale bribes) and 313 (official forgery) of the Criminal Code. He was arrested by court decision. -03В-
