Customs Reports Detention of Drug Lord
Baku / 08.28.19 / Turan: An Azerbaijani citizen Elnur Huseynov, who has been on the international wanted list for 7 years, was arrested in Istanbul and taken to Azerbaijan.
The Customs Committee informed that this one was arrested in absentia on charges of drug trafficking. According to the investigation, he created a criminal group that was engaged in the purchase and delivery of large quantities of drugs to various countries.
It was established that drugs were procured in Iran and sent through Azerbaijan to Thailand and Malaysia. The participants in these operations, three Azerbaijani citizens, were previously convicted and sentenced to 11 years each.
Now, the employees of the Investigation Department of the State Customs House of Azerbaijan managed to detain the head of the syndicate in Istanbul and deliver him to Baku. He was charged under several articles of the Criminal Code and was arrested. -03D-
