Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov, Chief of Staff Najmeddin Sadigov and other leaders of the military establishment conducted inspection of units of the Azerbaijani armed forces on the front line.
According to the Defense Ministry press service, Hasanov visited the newly liberated territories, met with soldiers on duty in the trenches and checked the state of engineering and fortifications and the social and living conditions of the soldiers.
The Minister presented the insignia of Colonel to the officer Shukur Hamidov, awarded the title of National Hero for the operation to free the height Lala Tapa in early April. By the order of the Minister, Hamidov was promoted to Colonel in advance.
Hasanov also gave valuable gifts to soldiers and officers distinguished in the April fighting. -02D-
