Director of School N162 Suspended from Work Due to Student's Death
Baku / 08.04.19 / Turan: The director of School No. 162, whose 8th grade student died after she jumped out of the third floor of the building on April 4, has been suspended from work. This was reported by the Ministry of Education on Monday evening.
The removal of Sevinj Abbasova from the post of school director is related to the investigation conducted by the Baku City Prosecutor"s Office and the official investigation of the Baku Department of Education.
"In order to ensure objectivity carried out in both areas of the investigation by order of the Minister of April 8, the director of the school, Sevinj Kamil Gyzy Abbasova, was suspended from work for the period of the investigation," the report said
The leading specialist of the General Education Sector of the Baku Education Department, Afgan Iskenderov, was appointed the school director for the period.
* In the Baku City Prosecutor's Office, a criminal case has been initiated into the death of a pupil of the 8th grade of School No. 162 in the Sabail district of Baku, who threw herself out of the third floor of the school.
The investigation is carried out under Art. 125 (bringing to suicide) of the Criminal Code.
The incident occurred on April 4. The girl with injuries was placed in the city clinical center, where she died on April 6.
Earlier, the teenager"s mother said that her daughter had been harassed by other schoolchildren, and she blamed the school"s management for this. -05D06
