The Director of the Central Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), Corresponding Member of ANAS, Oruj Ibadli was dismissed from his position "on his own request, due to his state of health," says the official report of the Presidium of the Academy.
On the decision of the Presidium, the acting director of the Central Botanical Garden will be performed by the ANAS Institute of Botany Director, Valida Alizadeh.
Recall that a few days ago there was a scandal in connection with the mass felling of trees in the Botanical Garden. Then the Academy said that the trees were cut down in a planneed way for research purposes.
However, yesterday the President of Azerbaijan sharply rebuked unnamed individuals, who cut down trees without control and forbade it without extreme need. -02D-
