During the week, 728 citizens returned from Russia to Azerbaijan through the land border
Baku/28.12.21/Turan: Owing to temporary restrictions on crossing the land border due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers organized the transfer of Azerbaijani citizens from the Russian Federation to the country.
So, on December 20, employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan were sent to Dagestan.
They registered 766 citizens waiting to cross the border and provided them with the necessary consular assistance.
During December 22-27, 6 border crossings were carried out and 728 out of 766 registered people were allowed to enter.
As a whole, from January 29 to December 27, 2021, 35 border crossing points were organized and 4,217 Azerbaijani citizens returned home. This is stated in the message of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.-06B-
