Eastern Partnership: opening the doors of parliamentary debate to 160 pupils
On 17-18 November, 160 pupils aged 16-18 and coming from EU Member States and the 6 countries of the Eastern Partnership (EaP – Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine) will attend a special "euronest scola" day in Strasbourg to experience the work of Euronest Parliament Assembly, composed of Members of the European Parliament and EaP National Parliaments. Together, they will debate, discuss and adopt resolutions on issues of common interest to the Eastern Partnership.
Over two days, the students will step into the shoes and sit in the seats of Members of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly to discuss and finally vote on resolutions on various topics, depending of the Committee they will have chosen :
* Social Affairs Committee: Social networks and inter-cultural dialogue
* Political Affairs Committee: Youth participation in democratic life (also in the context of the European Year of Citizens 2013)
* Economic Affairs Committee: cooperating on energy efficiency and renewable sources within the Eastern Partnership & the EU
Students will then present the outcome of their debate to their fellow colleagues in the plenary, defend their proposal, and vote on the reports.
Taking into account the recent protest of the head of Azeri delegation in Euronest its difficult to say if Azeri side will attend the forum in Strasbourg. -0-

In the last two days, a "news" story appeared on TikTok about a whale spotted on Baku's seaside boulevard. The most "observant" users posted videos, commenting on the size of the animal. Later, other "witnesses" claimed it wasn't a whale, but a shark. Even later, a version emerged suggesting it was a submarine.
