Embassy of Germany and GIZ award the winners of journalistic competition
Results of journalistic competition on the topic " Higher Education in Azerbaijan: legislation and its application."
The contest was organized by the Embassy of Germany and the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) at the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development project: "Support of legal and judicial reforms in the South Caucasus."
Awards ceremony was held on December 13 with the participation of the Chargé d' Affaires of Germany in Azerbaijan Volfqanq Mössinqer, according to the Embassy of Germany in Baku.
First prize awarded Guler Mekhtizade from the newspaper "Bizim Yol" for the article "Monopoly Ministry of Education Faculties." In second place Farman Nabiyev from the regional newspaper "Lights of Mingechevir" for the article "Credit swamp."
Third prize was awarded to Khalid Vahidoglu from the newspaper "Uch Nogta" for the article “Price problems in education.”--16D6-

President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola has invited Azerbaijani economist and political prisoner Professor Gubad Ibadoglu to Strasbourg to attend the 2024 Sakharov Prize award ceremony. The invitation, delivered by Member of the European Parliament Michael Bloss at the COP29 climate conference, comes as Ibadoglu remains under house arrest and prohibited from leaving Azerbaijan.
