Exercises with evacuation of the population begin in Armenia
Yerevan/03.09.15/Turan- ArmInfo: The script of exercises "Shant-2015" which started today in Armenia is kept secret. The Ministry of Defense Artsrun Hovhannisyan said at the press conference that all government agencies are involved.
According to him, the exercise will take place in the capital and in the provinces. He confirmed that in Tavush region has already been broken camp for evacuation. Similar camps will be in other areas, he said. Earlier, Defense Ministry reported that the exercises "Shant-2015" will be held on September 3-6, and has the purpose to check the mobilization readiness of government agencies and the military to repel aggression.
"Taking into account the military-political situation in Armenia and around the region, and perceived opponents scenario exercises as close to reality," reads the report of the Armenian Defense Ministry. -02D-
