Flood victims demand the head of Emergency Situations

A group of residents of the Imishly region affected by the floods of the Kura River in the spring of 2010, addressed the head of Emergency Situations Kamaladdin Heydarov with a call to come to the site and assess the damage to their homes and farms.

In the appeal, a copy of which is directed to the headquarters of the civil society of Kura, it is noted that the flooding has caused heavy damage to homes and farms inhabitants.

Despite the allocation of significant funds from the state budget to eliminate the effects of floods, these payments were distributed unfairly.

Assistance was received, not by those who suffered from the flood, but by very wealthy people, who do not have any relationship to the disaster area.

The distribution of aid was also subject to discrimination and corruption.

Despite numerous complaints for three years to the MOE and other state agencies, no action was taken.

Residents invited Heydarov to Imishly and the area affected to assess the situation on the spot and listen to them. The appeal was signed by 100 citizens. -06D-
