Forecasters warn of a sharp change in weather in the coming days
Baku/07.07.23/Turan: Windy weather is expected in Baku and on the Absheron Peninsula from the morning of July 10 to the evening of the 11th. The speed of the north-westerly wind will reach 15-20 m/s, and in places wind gusts will increase to 23-25 m/s, the National Hydrometeorology Service reports.
In the regions of Azerbaijan, a sharp change in weather conditions will begin in the afternoon on July 8 and will continue until the evening of July 10. There will be intermittent rains with thunderstorms in some northern and western regions.
In the Ganja-Gaz, Dashkesan-Gadabey and Balakan-Sheki zones, storms and hail are expected. On July 8, an easterly wind will blow from daylight hours until July 11. In some places, the wind speed will sometimes reach 15-20 m/s, in some areas – up to 23-25 m/s. Increased water content is expected in rivers, and short-term floods and mudflows are possible in some mountain rivers. ---05B06---

As part of the struggle against illegal migration in Baku city, operative actions were carried out at different addresses. The Interior Ministry reports that employees of the Department for Combating Illegal Migration identified and detained 34 foreigners without documents giving the right to reside and stay on the territory of Azerbaijan.
