Founder of Miracle Stove Network Sentenced to Twelve Years
Baku / 09.08.18 / Turan: On Thursday, the verdict for the founder of the Miracle Stove fast food chain, Chingiz Jalilov, was read in the Baku Grave Crimes Court.
The court found him guilty under articles 179.3.2 (embezzlement on a large scale) and 308.2 (abuse of official authority, which entailed grave consequences) of the Criminal Code. Earlier, the prosecutor asked the court to deprive Jalilov of freedom for 13 years.
According to the investigation materials, Jalilov colluded with the former head of Bank Standard, Salim Kriman, and took a loan in the amount of 21,874,000 manat against property pledge. However, the price of this property was clearly overstated.
The purpose of the loan was indicated as the purchase of a dacha, the repair of an apartment, and the purchase of land. The documents were drawn up in the name of Jalilov himself and people close to him. Subsequently, the loan was restructured, and almost 14 million manat was appropriated and divided between Jalilov and Kriman.
Recall that the fast food network Miracle Stove was established in early 2000 and for several years successfully developed, becoming the leading network in Baku. However, a few years later, the network was sold for the debts of Bank Standard, and then ceased to exist. -06D-

Many, recognizing the futility of resistance, settle for inadequate monetary compensation for their irreplaceable property. A minority, placing faith in the Housing Code, demand fair compensation from construction companies but often lose everything—both their homes and any form of recompense.
