Fragments of Crashed MIG-29 Found
Baku / 09/08/19 / Turan: On the evening of August 8, fragments of the MIG-29 fighter of the Air Force of Azerbaijan, which crashed in the Caspian on July 24, were discovered.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Defense, the rescuers participating in the operation and the Turkish military raised some fragments of the aircraft.
Preparations are underway for raising the main part of the aircraft from the sea bottom, the statement said.
Recall that the plane fell into the sea at 17 km offshore during a night training flight. The depth of the sea at the indicated location is about 40 meters. The cause of the accident and the fate of the pilot, Lieutenant Colonel Rashad Atakishiyev are unknown. -03D-
