In the country, 250 quarries violate legislation
Baku / 14.05.18 / TuranI The State Committee for Property Affairs decided to close 250 stone, sand and gravel pits in the country, the ministry said on 14 May. The reason for this decision is the activities of quarries with violations of the requirements of land legislation are indicated. Currently, there are 238 quarries in the country, of which only 23 conduct all the necessary documentation by the law.
According to the results of the monitoring, administration of 127 quarries issued administrative protocols, and for 46 quarries the documents were sent to law enforcement agencies for unauthorized seizure of the land, the report said.
The monitoring was carried out in the Khazar and Garadagh districts of the capital, as well as in the Absheron, Imishli, Guba, Sheki and Gazakh regions of the country.
It is established that the activity of many quarries destroys the fertile layer of land in farmland, which causes serious damage to the state and the agricultural sector.-02D-
