Institute for Democratic Initiatives intends to sue the Ministry of Justice
Chairman of the Institute for Democratic Initiatives (IDNs ) , CEC member Akif Gurbanov sued the Ministry of Justice . According to the IDN, the lawsuit was filed in connection with another failure of the Ministry of Justice to register the NGO for the third time.
The IDN believes that the Ministry of Justice without any legal grounds returned the documents of the NGOs established on November 5, 2013 by a group of prominent lawyers and public figures. This public organization intends to open society through democratic initiatives.
The head of the IDN, Akif Gurbanov, is the only member of the CEC , who refused to sign the final protocol of the presidential election October 9, 2013 for failure to investigate complaints on violations of the law.
Gurbanov was appointed to the CEC under the quota of the “Umid” party. - 16D06 –
