Journalist Detained in Gazakh Receives Thirty Days of Administrative Arrest (Updated)
Baku / 23.05.17 / Turan: Today the court appointed a punishment in the form of 30 days of administrative arrest to the journalist Amiraslanov. He was found guilty under Article 535.1 (not subordination to the police) of the Administrative Offenses Code.
On May 22, the local journalist Nijat Amiraslanov was detained in the Gazakh region on charges of disobeying the police. This was reported by the human rights activist Bashir Suleymanly. However, according to the human rights activist, the cause was the journalist"s critical publications in social networks.
As expected, today Amiraslanov will appear before the court, where he will be charged. -05D-
