July 1 Was Hottest Day in Baku for Last 120 Years

Baku / 07/01/18 / Turan: On July 1 in Baku and on the Absheron peninsula the air temperature reached +43 +44 degrees Celsius.

This is the hottest day in the capital of Azerbaijan and the suburbs of Baku for 120 years of instrumental observations, the National Department of the Ministry of Ecology of Azerbaijan said on Sunday.

The previous record was recorded in August 2017, when the air temperature warmed to 41.6 degrees.

According to the weather forecasters, the north wind will blow on July 2, and this will help reduce the air temperature by several degrees. However, on July 3-4, the air temperature will rise again.

It is only in the period from July 5 to July 8 that the air temperature will approach the average monthly climatic norm. -06D--
