Karabakh made it to the group stage of the Conference League
Baku/26.08.21/Turan: Agdam Karabakh won Scottish Aberdeen in the playoff round and broke into the group stage of the Conference Football League which is a new club tournament in Europe.
After a 1-0 home victory in Baku, Gurban Gurbanov's players secured a serious advantage over their opponents in the first half in the 8th and 18th minutes through the efforts of Toral Bayramov and Kadi.
In the second half, in the 72nd minute, Abdullah Zubir brought the score to 3: 0.
Ferguson scored a consolation goal for the hosts in the 91st minute from penalty.
Note that earlier, on the way to the group stage, Karabakh bypassed Israeli Ashdot and Cyprus AEL.
Another representative of Azerbaijan, the last champion of the country, Neftchi Baku, after a home draw with the Israeli Maccabi Haifa with a score of 3:3, lost 0:4 away and suspended its participation in the European competitions.
It should be reminded that Azerbaijan started the Euro-season with four clubs. "Sumgait" and "Keshlya" were eliminated from the Conference League after the first matches. –71D-
