Large Quantity of Opium Seized in Southern Region
During the operation police officers in Jalilabad region seized 48 kg of opium.
According to the Interior Ministry press service, 30 kg of opium was seized from the villager of Albalan Sefaddin Jafarov. During the interrogation, he said he had purchased the drugs from some Iranian named Zulfi.
During another operation, police seized 18 kg of the drug from the resident of the village Juran of the Bilasuvar district Shahin Mirzazadeh. He also claimed that the drugs were given to him in the Iranian city of Ardabil by some Iranian named Dadash for transportation to Azerbaijan.
On both the facts a criminal case has been filed. -16D-
