Leyla Yunus to be returned to Kurdakhani
Yesterday, involving the lawyer Elchin Gambarov, the Ministry of National Security (MNS) conducted investigations against the human rights activist Leyla Yunus.
Gambarov told Turan that until the end of the week Yunus would be returned back to Baku Prison No 1.
"The health status of Leyla Yunus is bad and she needs serious treatment. For this reason, it is necessary to change the measure of restraint by house arrest," said the lawyer.
According to him, in the MNS jail they did not create conditions for her meeting with her husband, also arrested Arif Yunus.
Leyla Yunus was arrested on July 30 on charges of treason and other crimes.
The spouses Yunus have been recognized “prisoners of conscience” by Amnesty International. -03B-

Last night, three earthquakes occurred along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border with magnitudes of 4.8, 3.0, and 3.8, according to the Republican Center for Seismological Service of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan.
