The opportunities for the protection of the arrested human rights defender Intigam Aliyev have been restricted, reads a special page in Facebook “Intigam Aliyev –prisoner of conscience." This week three of his lawyers were excluded from the protection under the pretext of their involvement in the lawsuit as witnesses. The attempts to develop the protection tactics with the only lawyer is also prevented.
Thus, recordings by Aliyev prepared for attorney to file applications and petitions are withdrawn, subject to censorship, and often are not returned.
The attempts to get comments from the Prison Service failed.

Muslim Unity Movement (MU) activist Akhsan Nuruzade has been detained in Azerbaijan 20 days after being released from prison. Nuruzade was detained in the late afternoon of October 26 when he was meeting his daughter who was returning from classes at Khazar University in Baku, the MU reported.
