Russia wants to increase the supply of agricultural products in Azerbaijan by 80%

The increase in the supply of agricultural products from Azerbaijan is possible by 80%, and subtropical plants – by  more than 100%, said the First deputy chairman of the international commission of the Public Chamber of Russia, Sergey Markov at the press conference in Baku.

At this stage, the parties must decide questions of delivery of Azerbaijani agricultural products to the Russian market. This requires the creation of Azerbaijani logistics centers in Russia.

After the introduction of sanctions against Russia by the EU for the supply of a number of goods, the president of Russia signed on  August 6 a decree banning the import of certain types of agricultural products, raw materials and foodstuffs. For one year under a ban were vegetables, fruits, beef, pork, fish, dairy products from the United States, European Union, Australia, Canada and Norway.

After that, Russia began to think about finding other sources of agricultural products and relies on supplies from Azerbaijan, Turkey, India and China.  It should be noted that Russia massively buys fruits and vegetables in Azerbaijan, what caused significant cost increase. The other day, Moscow Mayor Sobyanin said that Moscow hopes to buy  meat in Azerbaijan. -02D-
