Local Akhund, a supporter of Thale Bagirzade, arrested in Lankaran
Akhund of the mosque "Hazrat Abbas' Elman Aghazadeh was detained yesterday in the city of Lankaran (270 km south of Baku) and delivered in Baku. According to the supporters of the detainee, a few member of the same religious community were also arrested. According to preliminary information, Aghazadeh and the rest are members of the Movement "Muslim unity", whose leader Thale Bagirzade was arrested three days ago in Nardaran. The first attempt to detain Aghazadeh was made on 27 November, but he was released after hundreds of faithful gathered in front of the executive power, demanding the release of their leader. -05B-
