Man, Who Took Child as Hostage, Detained
On May 10 a resident of the Sabunchu district of Baku Elnur Ramazanli appealed to the 12th police station, reporting the disappearance of his 8-year-old son Hussein.
During the investigation it became known that the child was taken hostage by a resident of the Absheron district Elnur Mammadov, calling himself a member of ISIS. Calling the child's father, Elnur Mammadov demanded ransom for his release - 30 thousand manats, threatening to injure the child if the father went to the police.
During the operation of the criminal investigation department employees, Elnur Mammadov was arrested and the boy with his feet and hands tied was found in an unfinished house in the Sabunchu district. A criminal case has been filed, the Interior Ministry's press service said. -02D-
