The situation on the Kura River, expectations from Russia, and views on the Karabakh problem are topics of today's media.

The Azerbaijan newspaper discusses the situation on the Kura River. As a result of heavy rainfall in the third decade of August, the water level in the river increased from 140 to 146 centimeters.

The website Azpolitika.info quotes the opinion of the head of the foreign policy department, presidential aide Hikmet Hajiyev on the latest statements by the Russian side about the transfer of new weapons to Armenia. This causes concern among the public in Azerbaijan. “The statement of the Russian side in this regard does not suit us, the question remains open,” Hikmet Hajiyev said, referring to the responses of the Russian side about the transportation of construction materials to the Russian military base in Armenia.

The website Moderator.az discusses the Karabakh problem in the light of the Tovuz events. This is yet another blow to the 30-year-old peace talks that have come to nothing.
