Media Review for December 3, 2019
The impact of reforms on the management and operation of civil society institutions and legislation in this area, and the economic results of 11 months of this year are topics of today's media.
The newspaper Azerbaijan writes about the impact of reforms on the public administration system, and the formation of a new composition of the Presidential Administration. These reforms are characterized as a qualitatively new level of governance.
The website Musavat.com discusses with the expert Natig Jafarli the results of the economy over the past 11 months. During this period, a super ministry was created, with a number of structural changes against the background of a stable manat rate.
The Central Bank lowered the discount rate, which does not yet affect the economic processes in the country, since credit interest continues to remain high. It is also not clear how effective the new government agencies will be.
The website Bizimyol.info cites a comment by human rights activist Mirvari Gahramanli on the activities of the parliament of the last convocation.
According to her, the parliament adopted more than 300 changes against the interests of workers.
Over the course of 10 years, the deputies made changes to laws, 80% of which were in favor of the employer, and over 300 amendments were against workers.
In addition, this parliament 14 times introduced changes to the legislation in connection with the activities of NGOs, limiting them. All these changes have dealt a blow to the international image of the country.

Many, recognizing the futility of resistance, settle for inadequate monetary compensation for their irreplaceable property. A minority, placing faith in the Housing Code, demand fair compensation from construction companies but often lose everything—both their homes and any form of recompense.
