Growing demand for irrigation waters, the situation with standardization, and the situation in the automotive market are the leading topics of today's media.
The newspaper Azerbaijan writes about the growing need for water for sown areas in Balakan. On the balance of the region there are 6,822 ha of irrigated lands, which are irrigated with water from the mountainous rivers Katekh, Balakan and Mazimdan.
The problem arose due to the fact that recently the area of acreage has increased by 3-4 times.
The website Yenisabah.az writes about the problem of standardization, discussing this with expert Osman Gunduz. In Azerbaijan, no one does this, since the Committee for Standardization and Patents has been liquidated. For more than a year, the situation has remained unchanged. The Ministry of Communications, Transport and High Technologies is holding some senseless measures, and the structure on the issue of standardization is not created.
The website Modern.az writes about the need to update the car fleet of the country, not littering it with old cars. From April 1, 2014, the Euro-4 environmental norms are applied in Azerbaijan. The author cites the statistics of imported cars. In 2018, 7,845 cars were delivered, of which the cost of 40% was about 4 thousand dollars, which means they were just scrap metal.

In the last two days, a "news" story appeared on TikTok about a whale spotted on Baku's seaside boulevard. The most "observant" users posted videos, commenting on the size of the animal. Later, other "witnesses" claimed it wasn't a whale, but a shark. Even later, a version emerged suggesting it was a submarine.
