Ministry of Health urged to vaccinate children against measles
Baku/05.12.23/Turan: The Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan called on parents to vaccinate their children against measles to prevent the spread of this disease.
According to the Ministry of Health, the measles infection was brought into the country from abroad.
Vaccinations against measles, rubella, and mumps are given to children aged one and six years old. If the child is not vaccinated at one year old, then the vaccination should be done as soon as possible, and the second one at six years old.
If a child under the age of 10 has the first vaccination and does not have the second, he must also be vaccinated. If a child under the age of 10 does not have any vaccines, then he needs two doses of the vaccine at least 4 weeks apart, the report says.
