MNS Denies Cooperation with Italian Hacker Company
The Azerbaijani Ministry of National Security (MNS) has denied reports that the intelligence agency is working with the Italian company Hacking Team, assisting in the organization of hacker attacks.
"The Ministry of National Security of Azerbaijan denies these reports. They are pure fabrication," said the head of the public relations of the MNS Arif Babayev.
According to Radio Liberty, the company Hacking Team provides assistance to police in hacking and surveillance of correspondence of citizens. But now the company itself is under attack, as unidentified hackers broke into the profile of the company on Twitter, intercepted its internal correspondence and opened files of 500 GB.
Hacking Team has over 40 employees and provides hacking services to law enforcement agencies of different countries. Among the clients there are reportedly different bodies from Morocco, Ethiopia, the United Arab Emirates, Spain, Iraq, Australia, the Ministry of National Security of Azerbaijan and the FBI. -03B06-
