Moscow Concerned by Activity of Azerbaijani Mafia
The law enforcement authorities in Moscow are seriously concerned about the growth of activity of the criminal community of immigrants from Azerbaijan. It was formed by the merger of two mafia clans - "thieves in law" Nadir Salifov (Lotu Guli) and Vagif Suleymanov (Vagif).
A law enforcement source told Rosbalt the merger took place this summer. The new mafia clan, besides Lotu Guli and Vagif Suleymanov, includes a "thief in law" Rashad Ismayilov.
Salifov currently has the most powerful "army" of militants. In turn, Vagif and Rashad Ganja have extensive contacts among big businessmen - natives of Azerbaijan, who own shopping centers and wholesale markets in the Moscow region.
The new clan one by one takes under its "roof" all new firms and businessmen. The conglomerate became eligible for leadership in the criminal world of whole districts of the Moscow region. This process is accompanied by numerous beatings and kidnappings (only people from Azerbaijan).
Such an activity of the clan has caused serious resentment among other groups who lose the controlled businesses. As a result, clashes have occurred between them and the security forces expect a tightening of the mafia competition up to shooting with victims in the near future. -02D-
