Most Powerful Tremors Felt in Shamakhi and Agsu (UPDATED)
According to Radio Azadlig, the strongest underground tremors were felt in the Shamakhi and Agsu regions. Earthquake in Azerbaijan
Baku / 06.02.19 / Turan: An earthquake occurred in Azerbaijan at 23.31 local time on Tuesday, the Republican Seismological Service at the National Academy of Sciences reported.
According to preliminary information, tremors were recorded at 11 km south-west of the Pirgulu seismic station in the Ismayilli region (180 km north-west of Baku).
Information about the destruction has not yet been reported.
In the epicenter of the earthquake, the force of aftershocks amounted to 6 points, and in the surrounding areas it was 5.3 points.
