New Composition of Presidium of Bar Association
Baku / 07.12.17 / Turan: A new leadership of this body was formed at the conference of the Bar Association on December 7. Aydin Akhundov, Parviz Alekperov, Mukhtar Mustafayev, Turgay Huseynov, Fariz Mammadov, Sima Yagubova, Eduard Chernin, Vugar Babayev, Azer Guliyev, Shafayat Hasanov, Lala Nagiyeva, Sahib Safarov, Tural Huseynov and Elchin Gambarov were elected as members of the Presidium.
Akhundov and Alekperov were elected deputy chairmen of the Presidium.
In the new composition there are no lawyers with an active social position, defenders of the rights of arrested activists and journalists.
The exception is Elchin Gambarov, who became sadly famous for publishing personal letters of his former client Leila Yunus.
The new staff of the Presidium does not include the well-known lawyer Irada Javadova, who was the only member of the Presidium who disagreed with the expulsion of the human rights lawyer Yalchin Imanov from the Bar. -06D--

In June, the beach season will open, the Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology will announce the pollution of seawater in some beaches, and cleanliness in others. Every year, the bacteriological indicators of seawater on the beaches of Absheron remain the same: the northern coast of the peninsula is relatively clean, and beaches near Baku, Sumgayit, Yalama, and Khachmaz can reward bathers with serious illnesses.
