New Criminal Case against Muslim Unity Leader
Baku / 26.12.17 / Turan: A new criminal case has been instituted against the leader of the movement Muslim Unity Taleh Bagirzadeh who is serving a sentence in the Gobustan prison.
As his lawyer Javad Javadov told Turan, the case was initiated under Article 317-2 of the Criminal Code (storage and manufacturing of objects prohibited in storage in places of detention).
"The investigator called me, informing me that the case was initiated and a state attorney was appointed, but he refused the services of this lawyer and wanted me to defend him. On December 27, I will meet with Taleh," Javadov said.
At the same time, the lawyer noted that the essence of the charges is not clear to him and it will become clear only after the meeting with the accused.
Recall that Taleh Bagirzadeh was arrested on November 26 during a special operation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the village of Nardaran along with dozens of his supporters.
Subsequently, Bagirzadeh was sentenced to 20 years imprisonment on charges of trying to seize power and change the existing order.-03B-
