No Cardinal Changes in Oktay Gyulalyev's Condition – Mrs. Gyulalyeva
Baku / 02.09.20 / Turan: Treatment of the famous human rights defender Oktay Gyulalyev at the American Clinic in Istanbul continues. There are positive dynamics: he gained weight, the reaction to what was happening improved, his wife Firuza Gyulalyeva told Turan.
“Unfortunately, consciousness has not yet woken up and it is not known when this will happen. The attending physicians do not know this either.
Before we flew to Turkey for treatment, doctors in Azerbaijan estimated the probability that Oktay would survive at 20%. But thank God, he lives, his condition is improving, the operations carried out in Turkey were successful,” she said.
Recall that Oktay Gyulalyev was hit by a car on October 29, 2019 in the center of Baku. He suffered a serious head injury, but only had a surgical operation at City Hospital on October 31.
On November 1, he was transferred to the Republican Neurosurgical Hospital.
On November 5, with the mediation of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, he was transported to the Avrasiya clinic in Istanbul. On November 21, Gyulalyev was transferred to the American Clinic in Istanbul. -05B-

During urban renovations and the construction of elegant new buildings, thousands of families in Azerbaijan’s capital have been unlawfully deprived of their homes. Many, recognizing the futility of resistance, settle for inadequate monetary compensation for their irreplaceable property. A minority, placing faith in the Housing Code, demand fair compensation from construction companies but often lose everything—both their homes and any form of recompense.
