Northern Coast of Absheron Suitable for Swimming
The Monitoring Department of the Caspian Sea Ministry of Environment announced the results of checking the status of marine beaches of the capital.
Seventeen water treatment plants of modular type have been built in the coastal strip of the Absheron peninsula near the villages of Bilgah, Buzovna, Mardakan, Pirshagi, Nardaran, on the beach Amburan and near Novkhani and Jorat, where there is no sewerage system. Because of this, the level of water pollution and the number of the E. coli bacteria has reduced to normal.
At the beginning of the beach season "minimum amount of E. coli" has been revealed at these sites
According to the results of recent studies, the Caspian coast beaches (except the beaches in Sumgait, as well as Sahil and Shikhovo) have been recognized fit for swimming, said the press service of the Ministry of Environment. -02D-
