One more lawyer may lose the license
Baku/09.24.19/Turan: Lawyer Neymat Karimli was accused by the Prison Service of "forming a negative image" of this structure and violating the lawyer's conduct, reads the appeal of the Penitentiary Service to the Bar Association with a request "to take measures prescribed by law for him".
The service claims that "the lawyer did not comply with the legal requirements of the jail number six employees, tried to create a conflict situation, lied that he had been held hostage for about 50 minutes and tried to give the incident a political connotation."
Commenting on Turan"s appeal from the Prison Service, Karimli called it "an absolute lie."
In connection with the violence against me, I turned to the prosecutor's office of the Sabunchu district. If the Prison Service claims that I violated the rules of conduct, then this should be confirmed by surveillance cameras available on the premises of the jail.
Let them submit these shots to the prosecutor"s office and the Bar Association," said Karimli.
* On September 20, Neymat Karimli was twice subjected to a thorough search and threats when he visited the convicted journalist Afgan Mukhtarli. The search and humiliation were also repeated at the exit. These illegal actions were led by the deputy head of the jail Emin Aliyev, who illegally selected the lawyer's notes made at a meeting with a journalist. -03B-
