PACE Co-rapporteurs Meet with Group of Political Prisoners
Baku / 18.09.17 / Turan: The co-rapporteurs of the PACE Monitoring Committee on Azerbaijan Stefan Schennach (Austria) and Cesar Florin Preda (Romania) visited persons recognized as political prisoners by human rights activists in penitentiary institutions in the framework of their visit to Baku on September 16.
In particular, they met with the director of the Internet TV Channel-13 Aziz Orujov, the deputy chairman of the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PFPA) Fuad Gahramanly and the blogger Mehman Huseynov.
In addition, in the Gobustan prison they visited the leader of the movement Muslim Unity Taleh Baghirzadeh, his assistant Abbas Huseynov and three other prisoners.
