Participants in the reconstruction of the "Eastern Bazaar" complained about non-payment of salaries
Baku/16.06.22/Turan: On June 16, workers participating in the project to restore the "Eastern Bazaar" shopping center held a protest action. They complained about not paying money.
According to them, the management of the shopping center claims that the contractors "Vepa Mühendislik" and "MEK" are responsible for this. The workers say that they were initially promised to transfer money to bank cards, but this was not done.
“In the end, they didn’t pay salaries in full. Someone did not receive a salary for 1 month, someone for 4 months. They promised to take action on our complaints, but as a result, about 100 people cannot receive money,” one of the protesters said.
A representative of the "MEK" company, who came out to the workers, said that the funds were to be paid by the “contractor company “Vepa Mühendislik”.
However, "Vepa Mühendislik" could not be reached for comment. --06B--
