PFPA Claims Disappearance of Its Activist Khagani Nasirov
For the past two weeks there has been no information about the fate of a member of the Youth Committee of PFPA Khagani Nasirov. The party considers that he has been arrested.
The head of the youth committee of PFPA Ilham Huseynli told Turan since June 23 phone calls to Nasirov have been impossible. Despite repeated appeals to the police at the place of his registration, there is no information about his fate, he continued.
"Given the sad experience of such cases, it may be assumed that Nasirov is arrested," said Huseynli.
PFPA believes the reason for the detention of Huseynli could be his sharp statuses, cartoons and collages criticizing the country's leadership.
Nasirov particularly criticized the European Grand Prix competitions Formula 1 held in Baku.
Meanwhile, the satirical Susma (Do not be silent!) page on Facebook has published a photo collage titled "King of harassment and abuse of social networks Khagani Nasirov."
This collage contains a photo of Nasirov, cleaning a toilet.
The Youth Committee of PFPA believes that people are exposed to such compulsions in places of detention.
Contact with Nasirov’s family failed.
The Interior Ministry and other bodies did not comment the events. -03B06-
