Polad Aslanov continues hunger strike
Baku/19.01.22/Turan: The convicted editor of the website xeberman.com, Polad Aslanov has been on hunger strike for 14 days in the aid post of colony 1.
He refused to discontinue the action even despite Prosecutor General's assurances that his case would be heard objectively and fairly by the Supreme Court on February 3. This was reported by the journalist's wife Gulmira Aslanova.
"I asked Polad to at least take a complex of vitamins; however, he refused even that. He drinks water only", - said his wife.
According to her, Aslanov currently has no complaints about the conditions of his detention and treatment. Physicians examine him twice a day.

On January 6, he began a hunger strike, demanding a review of his case and an expedited consideration of his appeal in the Supreme Court.
On the 9th day of his hunger strike, the Supreme Court scheduled a hearing of Aslanov's complaint for February 3. -06B-
