Today the Chairman of the Association of Azerbaijani Intelligentsia Eldaniz Guliyev was summoned to the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime (MDCOC) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, where he was warned. This he told Turan.
The main topic of the conversation was his socio-political activity, the protection of believers, and publications on social networks on the Internet.
"The management asked me to mitigate the socio-political activity. Particular dissatisfaction was caused by my protection of the rights of believers. I told them that everyone has freedom of religion, and this was reflected in the law," Guliyev said.
According to him, he was put forward the claim because of the harsh criticism of the authorities in his publications.
"I was even told that in my publications there were expressions with signs of crime. They limited themselves to verbal warning at the moment. In my opinion, this was a "preventive conversation". What's next – we’ll wait and see," Guliyev said. -0-
