An employee of the Imishli District Police Mukhtar Kazymzadeh was killed by his colleague for money. This is stated in the joint statement released by the Interior Ministry and Prosecutor General's Office.
The burned body of the policeman was found on April 18 in the Turkan settlement of the Khazar district of Baku. The investigation revealed that Kazymzadeh was killed in his apartment by the driver of the Imishli District Police Ravil Ibayev.
In order to cover up the traces of his crime, Ibayev took the body away and burned it. On the same day Ibayev was arrested and confessed to the crime.
The motives have not been disclosed. According to some reports, Ibayev tried to seize money from Kazymzadeh who sold his car the day before. -16D06-
